About Us
The Vedder Business Improvement Association (BIA) was established in response to the growing need for a unified business voice in the Sardis, Promontory, Vedder, and Garrison areas of Chilliwack.
Recognizing that the Downtown Chilliwack BIA’s efforts were concentrated on the downtown core, local business leaders saw an opportunity to create a similar organization that would cater to the unique needs of the southern neighborhoods.
The absence of community events akin to the popular ‘Party in the Park’ highlighted a gap in cultural and social offerings. Thus, the Vedder BIA was born out of a collective desire to increase business visibility, ease the burden of social media marketing and promotion, and organize engaging events that not only draw attention to local brands but also contribute to the enrichment of the community.
By doing so, the Vedder BIA aims to create a cohesive, supportive environment where businesses and residents alike can flourish.
